Dear Players, Teams, Reps, Advertisers, Supporters, Family & Friends:

This letter is to express our gratitude for your support for our 32nd Annual Basketball Scholarship Tournament. Your participation, monetary support and advertisements have helped our organization provide scholarships to the many high school seniors who have grown up playing in the club's youth basketball programs, and to help them achieve their dreams in college.

However, due to the recent concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we will need to cancel our 2020 WLAYC basketball tournament on April17, 18 and 19, 2020.

We have been monitoring the risks around the COVID-19 and have been discussing the situation with the WLAYC Board and the parent reps. The health and safety of our players, families, communities and organizations is our highest priority, and we do not feel that it is in the best interest of everyone to continue to have the tournament. We understand that the situation is changing hourly, but doing our part by trying to minimize exposure and helping to stop the spread of the virus, appears to be the best thing for all.

This is the first time that we've had to cancel the tournament, but amid the growing concerns and the new developments of cases, it is unavoidable.

Tournament Entry fee and Advertiser fees will be returned:

• All checks will be voided and returned to the appropriate WLA rep
• Entry fees will be returned to the Division Coordinators and they will be contacting the participating team reps about shredding the check or returning it to you
• Advertiser fees will be returned to the parent rep of the team that was able to get the advertisement, and they in turn will be responsible for contacting the advertiser about shredding the check or returning it to them
